So I have to write this blog for my
English class, because my teacher is just full of surprises and loves to come
up with weird ways to ruin our time away from school. My name is Gabriela and
I'm a junior. We're supposed to talk about our lives and problems we might be
having so here goes nothing. Yesterday I missed school to have a teenager’s
typical day. I went to the beach, rode my bike, went to a party with my friends
and then took I nap. Just kidding. I went to the hospital because I was getting
a bone scan and let me just say, it was not a pleasant experience. For starters
I had to be at the hospital at nine in the morning, to fill out some standard
paperwork, you know, the one that reads “if something were to happen would you
like a private suite or a semi-private one?” after that lovely yet reassuring
paperwork the doctor called me in. He asked me some absurd questions, (which he
probably would know the answers if he had just read my file) that led to me
being injected with some odd looking dye who’s purpose is to enhance the x-ray.
It just went downhill from there. I had to go back home, wait four hours for
the dye to penetrate into my body (for this to happen about six cups of water
have to be drank) and since I decided time would fly if I slept, my lovely
mother woke me up and I had to chug all six cups in less than five minutes. After
this I walked to the hospital (it’s about three minutes from my house) and the forty-five
minute scans were taken. I’ll tell you about the results when I receive them.
For now, you’ll just have to guess.
P.S. Since no one is reading this do I have
to say goodbye? Just in case goodbye, sweet dreams.
